The Shehab's were originally Sunni Moslems noy Druse. Some of the family still is Sunni. Only the ones that ruled Lebanon converted to Christianity (Maronites)--Emir Yussif (son of Emir Melhem) and Emir Bachir. I have the history of the familly. The original name was Makhsoom.

Yes of course. This is why I stated at the beginning of the analysis that this study is not representative quantitatively to make general findings, and this is why more in-depth qualitative and quantitative research with larger numbers of participants is needed. This is just the beginning, a mere 'exploration'!

i am amazed by the way you structured and analyzed "Explorations", you surely had everything laid down in a well constructed analysis. On the other hand I show some constrains in one thing, you cannot generalize these findings over the areas in questions. you can always find people that are so Arabic conservatives that lives in Beirut and consequently you can find people much more liberal tolerant living in the suburbs and mountain area.

I think the results were very explicit! I can't say that I'm disappointed, and I'm very happy with the response rate. While transcribing results, it became evident that responses were are mixture of interesting, unexpected, expected, surprising, witty (a lot of that!) and even humorous! The diversity of opinions and perceptions in Lebanon is truly astounding.
